(PSI) recently relaunched its website, looktopsi.com, with an easier-to-navigate design and a new section called "Tech Notes," which offers articles and tips for the lab professional. However, the site's big- gest improvement was the addition of an online store, allowing both retail and laboratory customers to purchase supplies for edging, blocking, tinting, surfac- ing, and polishing, as well as fnishing equipment (including edgers), surface tape, pads, chemical solutions, and more. A VICTORY FOR LABS IN TEXAS Thanks to Texas Senate Bill 684, managed care companies will no longer be able to dictate which optical labs ECPs may use to process lens jobs for all contracts entered into or renewed on or after September 1, 2015 (however, the new law will not apply to contracts entered into or renewed before September 1). Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed the bill into law on June 20 following its approval in the state's Senate and House in May. JIM MCGRANN will be replacing Rob Lynch as President and CEO of VSP Global ® on October 1, 2015. McGrann has also been appointed chairperson of the board of directors of the National Association of Vision Care Plans (NAVCP). KATE RENWICK- ESPINOSA, VSP Global's current Chief Marketing Offcer, will replace McGrann as President of VSP ® Vision Care. Transitions has named SHERIANNE JAMES as its new Vice President of Marketing. In addition, JOHN LIGAS has been appointed Vice President of R&D.; JEFF ENDRES, formerly Senior Director of Technical Services and Lens Processing Technology Division Liaison at The Vision Council, is now Vice President of Operations for Shamir Insight, Inc. Vision-Ease Lens' DAVID GEORGE has been appointed Director of Sales, North America.
